There will be at least three judges, who will use the same scoring format for all entries. Winners will be determined by the highest combined scores.
Only one money award is allowed per author. If an author's additional entry would have placed in the money awards, the lower scoring entry will be given a Judges' Choice certificate which identifies it as a story that would have otherwise placed. This is to encourage more participation by preventing one author from winning two or three of the cash awards. More entries = more $$ in the pot, so spread the word!
Up to three Honorable Mention certificates will be awarded for stories that earned high scores, but not high enough to take first, second, or third place.
