M. Carolyn Steele
Exploring cliff dwellings and hunting for arrowheads were favorite childhood activities for Carolyn. Now, she contents herself with chasing wasps from her hummingbird feeder, planting marigolds for the neighborhood rabbit population, and valiantly shooing birds away from the tadpoles frolicking in her waterfall-pond. When not so engaged, Carolyn loves writing, especially stories set in the past. Though she wouldn’t want to have lived in an era without indoor plumbing, she does think it would be fun to use a time machine to visit distant ancestors and write about their lives. Fun, that is, unless the trip proved to be one-way.
